Local Government
Costin + Company has provided services to local government units since 1982. We employ a well-trained, highly motivated, experienced staff that possesses an advanced level of knowledge of government accounting and reporting requirements.
Experience
Selected staff members have obtained Certified Government Financial Manager Status through the Association of Government Accountants, and participate as CAFR reviewers for the GFOA (Government Finance Officers Association) and ASBO International. Our local government audit team personnel are in full compliance with the U.S. Standards for Audit of Government. Organizations, Programs, Activities, and Functions. One firm member serves on the Ohio Auditor of State Regional Advisory Board.

Certain staff members are members of the GFOA review committee. We conform to the "Yellow Book" quality review (Current Peer Review) and educational requirements. Selected staff members are CFGM's. Certain staff members serve as CAFR reviewers for the GFOA and ASBO International. One firm member serves on the Ohio Auditor of State Regional Advisory Board.
